New Year's Eve Full Moon and Blue Moon Eclipse
On December 31st, we will see the second full moon of the month, or the 13th full moon of the year. These rare occasions are called a blue moon, as in “once in a blue moon”. But that’s not the only thing special about New Year’s Eve this year. There will also be a partial lunar eclipse on the 31st (visible in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia)! Only a very small portion of the Moon’s southern limb will be in the Earth’s umbral shadow, but there will be a noticeable darkening visible over the Moon’s face at the point of greatest eclipse. Need more? Then know this eclipse is the one of four lunar eclipses in a short-lived series. The lunar year series repeats after 12 lunations or 354 days. Afterwards it will begin shifting back about 10 days in sequential years. Because of the date change, the Earth’s shadow will be about 11 degrees west in sequential events.

3) Inviting People. We don't actively invite people to join or participate or visit. We rely on synchronicity. We stand still and those who are supposed to find us will find us through magnetic attraction.
4) People generally feel honored and touched by your personal invitation to be a guest of a member, and you never know who you might meet. We can recruit people if we need help. For example, we can recruit the nutritional experts to bring potluck, and the techies to bring the dvd player and projector.
5) Of course, you can invite non-members and bring a friend who would love to meet some beautiful & conscious people.
6) RSVPs: We ask people to RSVP so we have at least a general idea of how many people are coming.
7) Providing Contact Info: give people clear directions to the beach place where we meet including a link to our website. VeniceBeach.TV
8) Activities for the Gathering:
Questions & Reflections: The group helps each other clarity and manifest.
Sharing Success: Share your finished project for winning encouragement, or share your unfinished project for ideas and suggestions.
8) We Blog, Take Photos and maybe Video: Blog about our Gathering experience and inspire others to assist us with our to-do list and our "looking for" list. We build our interconnected community on the westside. Don't forget your camera and to post your pictures! Tag your blogs and photos with the word "Gathering."
9) Stay in Touch: Use your local pod on Gaia (not created yet) to stay in touch and plan conversations and Gatherings for the future. We will create a yahoo email group.
